Canoe & Kayaking

Bethel Outdoor Adventure
Bethel Outdoor Adventure makes outdoor recreation available to everyone, regardless of age or ability level.  BOA will shuttle you up the river and you can paddle back to their riverfront location.  Choose from full day, half day, or even a one-hour trip.  The river is easily navigated by those with even minimal experience, however registered Maine Guides are available if desired.

Sport Thoma
Located in Bethel on Route 2, Sport Thoma rents canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards with the option for delivery and shuttle to various boat launches on the Androscoggin River.

Northern Water Outfitters
Just above the Errol Dam in New Hampshire, there is a vast, easily accessible lake and river area that encompasses the the Magalloway River and Umbagog Lake National Wildlife Refuge. Northern Waters can rent you canoes or touring kayaks for trips in this beautiful wilderness area. One of the outstanding features is that true wilderness access is easy, and canoeing trips are easily negotiated.

ELC Outdoors
One of Northern New Hampshire's premier adventure outposts, ELC Outdoors provides rentals for kayaks and canoes single and multi-day trips. Whether it's a 5-mile paddle on the Androscoggin River or a camping trip on Lake Umbagog, ELC Outdoors has you covered.

If you have your own canoe or kayak and would like to plan a journey down the Androscoggin, you can visit the Mahoosuc Land Trust on Route 2 or Bethel Outdoor Adventure to purchase a map of the river.
